Bought this since I have a very old Outers kit that used a proprietary metric thread instead of the more standard SAE threads. So Outer changed several years ago but I have only recently bought some new caliber guns. Can no longer get mops/brushes that fit the old threaded rods. My review - it is a universal gun cleaning kit and seems to be fine. The clamshell that they seem to believe is great and can be used as a storage case is useless of course. Surprisingly, though probably not unique to this kit, the threads on the rods fit my old Outers brush/mop set that used the older sized metric threads. So that was a plus.
