I have had many rifles, but most of them are used indoors, so I can''t use any rifle cartridges, since they surpass the 2000 fps limit that the indoor range has. The Rossi is an excellent rifle. It is made well and shoots extremely well. It has low recoil and very easy to use. I had the Rossi M92, the one with the 24 octagon barrel, but it was too heavy and I wanted something lighter. I traded that one back in and got the R92, which has the round barrel that is only 20 inches long. I was looking at the same type of rifle in the Marlin 1894 family, but that was $200 more, and besides that, they were out of stock everywhere. I know the Marlin is better built, but this one is more then enough for me or anyone else wanting a lower power rifle.
